The BMW 635CSi M6 is an iconic grand touring car of the 1980s,
blending luxury, performance, and the striking lines of BMW's E24 6
Series. Produced between 1983 and 1989, the M6 represented the pinnacle
of BMW's road car offerings at the time, designed to offer both
high-speed comfort and sports car-like dynamics.
At the heart of the M6 is a 3.5-litre inline-six engine derived from
BMW's now legendary M1 supercar. Producing around 286bhp, this
engine allowed the M6 to accelerate from 0 to 60mph in just over six
seconds with a top speed of 158mph, making it one of the fastest
production cars of its day. The smooth power delivery, coupled with
BMW's precise handling and rear-wheel-drive layout made the 635CSi a
joy to drive on an Autobahn or a twisty mountain pass.
Inside, the M6 offered all the luxury BMW customers expected, with
leather upholstery, advanced electronics, and a driver-focused interior.
The combination of performance and comfort helped the BMW 635CSi M6
become a cult favourite among enthusiasts, and it remains a highly
collectible classic car to this day.
