The BMW M3 Coupé (2012 DTM Winner) adorned
with the BMW Bank logo is a symbol of BMW's triumphant return to the
Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) after an absence of nearly two decades. Driven by
Bruno Spengler the car clinched the 2012 DTM Championship title in a thrilling
season that marked BMW's eighth championship and Spengler's first
individual driver's crown.
Powered by a 4.0-litre V8 engine producing over 480
bhp the M3 DTM car was a finely tuned machine built for speed,
precision, and agility. Its aerodynamically optimised body had a
wide stance and aggressive lines which helped the car cut through the air on
Germany's world famous race circuits. The carbon-fibre monocoque chassis
provided strength and lightness while the advanced suspension and
braking systems ensured pinpoint handling in the tightest of turns.
Bruno Spengler's masterful driving combined with BMW's engineering
excellence culminated in victory at Hockenheimring, sealing the 2012
championship. The striking black livery adorned with the iconic BMW
Bank logo became a memorable image from that season and this historic winning BMW M3
Coupé stands as testament to the brand's continuing
motorsport legacy.
