"Jaguar E-Type Series 1" (1961) Roadster
The Jaguar E-Type S1 Roadster in classic green is one of the
most celebrated designs in automotive history. When it debuted at the
Geneva Motor Show, it was hailed for its stunning looks and incredible
performance. With its long bonnet, flowing curves, and low-slung stance,
the E-Type was every bit the sports car Jaguar promised it to be.
Powered by a 3.8-litre straight-six engine, it delivered 265bhp,
allowing it to reach a top speed of 150mph, which was staggering for the
era.
The E-Type's Roadster version epitomises British automotive
elegance in the 1960s, blending beauty and power into a package that was both
sophisticated and thrilling to drive. The open-top design enhanced the
visceral driving experience, letting the driver connect fully with the
road and the car's precise handling. Enzo Ferrari himself famously
