"Jaguar XJR-6" (1985)
Jaguar's XJR-6 (1985) was a
prototype racing car designed to compete in the World Sportscar
Championship. It was developed by Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR), and was
powered by a 7.0-litre V12 engine producing around 650bhp, making
it an absolute monster on the track! Its sleek aerodynamic design
allowed it to cut through the air at high speeds, with a top speed
of over 200mph.
Driven by skilled racers Mike Thackwell and Martin Brundle the XJR-6 was a fierce
competitor, taking on manufacturer rivals including Porsche and Lancia. Its success paved
the way for Jaguar's future dominance in endurance racing leading to
the eventual development of the XJR-9. The dark green paintwork with its white
Jaguar logo gives the car a classic aggressive look, symbolising
Jaguar's relentless pursuit of victory in the world of highly competitive motorsport.
