The 1995 Subaru Impreza 555 Rally car, driven by the indomitable Colin
McRae, is one of the most iconic machines in rallying history. Clad in
its signature blue livery with distinctive "555" logos, this car took McRae
to victory in the 1995 World Rally Championship, marking Subaru's first
manufacturer's title. The Impreza was powered by a 2.0-litre
turbocharged boxer engine, producing around 280bhp, giving McRae the raw
power and reliability needed to conquer the world's toughest rally
stages.
McRae's aggressive driving style, combined with the Impreza's
all-wheel-drive system, allowed the team to dominate on both gravel and
tarmac. The car's distinct rumble, courtesy of its flat-four engine,
became synonymous with rally success. Beyond its performance, the Subaru
Impreza 555 was a visual icon, and McRae's heroics in the car
